Antique pocket watch stolen in burglary

A rare antique watch, of high sentimental value, was stolen during a burglary in Dewsbury.

The pocket watch was taken during a burglary on Kilpin Hill Lane, Dewsbury, between 4.30pm on Saturday 19 August and 11.15am, on Sunday 20 August.

It was stolen along with a TV, laptop and camera.

Any witnesses to the incident or anyone with information about it or who is offered the watch for sale is asked to call police on 101 quoting crime reference 13170383636.

The watch looks similar to an example auctioned in February by Gary Don Auctioneers, Leeds.

Both have the initials BSJ engraved on the inside of the lid and ‘soleule’ written on the face.

The other model, auctioned by Gary Don, has Russian writing on the reverse of the watch and a guarantee insert inside the watch from JW Hargreaves, of Morley.
