The actor, who played Todd Grimshaw, appeared before Manchester Magistrates’ Court today to admit the offences.

Wedding plans to be revealed

More details about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding are due to be revealed as planning for the big day steps up a gear.

The newly engaged pair’s choice of venue and month are expected to be unveiled - the day after they publicly shared their love story. March or May are the current favourites for the high-profile royal nuptials, but April is thought unlikely.

The Duchess of Cambridge is due to give birth to her third child that month. The Queen will also be busy with the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, which is being hosted in London and Windsor in mid-April.

Brexit dispute heads to Commons

The Government has been warned it could be in contempt of Parliament unless it hands full details of its assessment of the potential impact of Brexit on the economy to MPs. Brexit Secretary David Davis faced a furious backlash after passing an edited version of the documents, looking at 58 sectors of the economy, to the Commons Exiting the EU Committee.

Shadow Brexit secretary Sir Keir Starmer said: “Parliament was very clear in its instruction to ministers. “All 58 impact assessments should have been shared with the select committee in full, without redaction and unedited. “If the Government has failed to comply with this ruling then we will not hesitate in raising this matter with the Speaker.”

Town centre accident

A woman was taken to hospital following an accident in Huddersfield town centre this morning.

The crash, between the driver of a Ford Fiesta and another vehicle, took place on Northumberland Street at 6.05am.

It is believed the crash was a side-on impact. Huddersfield firefighters were called out and found the woman was trapped inside the Ford vehicle.

She was complaining of pain in her neck and ankle and they had to cut the roof of the vehicle off to get her onto a long board and into an ambulance.

The road was closed temporarily while they worked at the scene and re-opened once the debris was cleared.
