The Duchess of York has arrived in Linthwaite.

As her car pulled in she waved and smiled at pupils from Linthwaite Clough Junior School and Linthwaite Ardron Junior & Infant School who were waving flags.

After speaking to as many pupils as she could she posed for a picture with Ruddi himself.

She said: “Hey Ruddi, so nice to see you”, before commenting on the young man’s poise in front of the camera: “I’ve got a feeling you’ve done this before.”

Duchess of York visits tearooms in Linthwaite today

Sarah the Duchess of York, known as Fergie, will be popping in to Ruddi’s Retreat tearooms in Linthwaite today.

Ruddi’s Retreat is children’s charity that provides free seaside holidays for families affected by serious illness and also operates the cafe.

The Duchess will also visit the university duroing her visit to Huddersfield.
