Protest at Batley Rail Station
Tracy Brabin, MP for Batley and Spen, has joined forces with local councillors and members of the public, angry at the state of the railways in the north.
The protest comes after weeks of disruption caused by Northern Rail transferring to a new timetable.
Tracy said: “This shambles is just the tip of the iceberg and the latest in a long line of Government failures on rail.
“Rail fares are up 32% since 2010, rising three times faster than wages and the franchising system is in utter chaos.
“It’s simply not good enough, and something has to change.”
There is a major ongoing incident happening in Birkby this morning.
