Traffic round-up
Here’s the latest on what going on in terms of traffic and travel this afternoon:
- Heavy traffic on the M62 exit sliproad westbound at junction 27
- Queuing traffic on Leeds and Halifax Road at Hipperholme at the Brighouse Road traffic lights
- Slow traffic at Cooper Bridge heading out of Huddersfield
- Slow-moving at Salterhebble Hill, Halifax, due to the roadworks

Lane closure on M62
There’s one lane closed and heavy traffic on the M62 this lunchtime due to a broken down car on the eastbound carriage.
Traffic is bad approaching junction 27 at Gildersome/Birstall. The hard shoulder (usually used as a live lane) is currently closed.
Congestion on Woodhead Pass near Holmfirth
Heavy traffic on the Woodhead Pass this morning heading in both directions between Windle Edge (the Dunford Bridge Turn Off) and the Holmfirth Turn Off. This is in the roadworks area and is due to temporary traffic lights.
Accident on the M606
Reports of an accident on the M606 southbound heading towards the M62 from Bradford. A lorry and car are involved according to our traffic partners INRIX.
Traffic is slow between junction 2 and 3.
