A NEW series of courses examining local history are being planned.

In partnership with Kirklees Museums, the Workers’ Education Association is running a range of courses which are starting in January at museum sites.

Commencing Monday, January 10, at Red House Museum in Oxford Road, Gomersal, tutor Alan Petford will be Investigating Post-Reformation Churches.

Starting on the same day is a course Climate Change and the Rock Record, which is being tutored by Bill Paley at Tolson Museum in Wakefield Road, Moldgreen.

Beginning on Wednesday, January 12, at Dewsbury Museum in Crow Nest Park, Dewsbury, is Sources for the History of Dewsbury with tutor Alan Petford.

Starting on the same day at Bagshaw Museum in Wilton Park, Batley, is a course entitled Explore Batley History with the tutor John Hargreaves.

All the courses run for 10 weeks, and weekly sessions are 2pm to 4pm.
