A LOCKWOOD man has appeared in court accused of assaulting his partner.
Johnny Barrett, of Rashcliffe Hill Road, was before Kirklees magistrates on Tuesday.
He is accused of attacking Kirsty McKay at her home in Swan Lane on Thursday July 12.
It is alleged that Barrett pushed Miss McKay off a bed during an argument.
The 31-year-old denies the charge and now faces trial at the Huddersfield court.
Magistrates have adjourned the case until Tuesday October 2.
Barrett was granted unconditional bail until that date.
His bail conditions are that he does not contact Miss McKay nor go to her address in Lockwood.
