DEDICATED lollipop man Muhammad Ismail from Birkby returned to his job smiling and confident.

The 73-year-old said he was “very happy” to be returning to his duties on Bradford Road at Fartown, six months after he suffered multiple injuries at the hands of a hit and run driver.

“I love my job and am confident that my body is fit and healthy and ready to return to work. I have been very well looked after by my family and my employers and am grateful for that,” he said.

Mr Ismail suffered multiple fractures after the incident on November 7 last year.
