June 12 to 14, various venues

Dozens of cutting edge artists will take over Wakefield at a three day festival.

British Sea Power, Ash and Pulled Apart By Horses have been named as some of the headliners at the city centre-based Long Division Festival, due to take place from June 12 to 14.

They and many other musicians from around the world, the UK and Wakefield will leave the walls pounding of eight renowned venues such as The Hop, Theatre Royal and Unity works.

The festival was created in 2011 by fanzine Rhubarb Bomb to celebrate local talent, show off Wakefield's venues and celebrate the independent culture and the spirit of the DIY music scene.

Tickets and wristbands cost in between £15 and £25 for the main event on Saturday.
