GROWERS have been invited to display their produce at a village exhibition.
The Longwood Horticultural and Handicrafts Show takes place at the start of next month. Prizes will be given for the best fruit, vegetable, scones, cake, pickle and chutney among others.
There will also be awards for the best knitting and crochet and the largest sunflower.
Entries must be brought to Longwood Mechanics Hall between 4pm and 8pm on Friday, September 2. The show takes place from 10.30am to midday the following day. Judging begins at 11.30am and all goods must be removed from the hall by 1.30pm. Entry costs 50p per item. Prizes range from £1 to £4 depending on the number of goods in each class.
