THE Guide Dogs for the Blind Association will benefit when Specsavers opticians in Huddersfield takes part in a fundraising month.

It is part of a national drive to highlight the importance of the charity's work.

The optical retailer, which recently ann- ounced Guide Dogs as its new national charity, plans to give 10p from every eye test undertaken throughout July.

Store director Richard Hurdley said: "Guide Dogs is such a worthy cause and I hope we raise a substantial amount.

"We hope that with the added appeal of helping such a reputable charity more people will be encouraged to get their eyes tested, and become more aware of the importance of having good eyesight."
