MORRIS Simpson’s game show hopes ended in spectacular style.

The community worker from Sheepridge was first out of eight contestants to be eliminated from BBC One’s 101 Ways To Leave a Gameshow on Saturday..

And he did so in style – plunging 80 feet on a bungee rope into a tank of ice-cold water.

Morris appeared in the first of the new show on Saturday.

The budding TV presenter, who has already appeared on several gameshows including Deal Or No Deal, had hoped to scoop the £10,000 prize.

But he was knocked out in the first round having failed to identify a Blue Peter pet from a list of names.

He took the plunge from the 100-foot tower, specially built in Argentina to host the new show.

He said: “I could feel my heart pounding. But at least I got to go out to Argentina to film the show”.
