STYLISH furniture is going under the hammer this weekend at an auction to raise cash for Macmillan Cancer Relief.
The event has been organised by the Wood Flooring Company, of Thongsbridge.
Owner Ian Roberton decided to raise money for the charity after the death of a friend, Neil Tomlinson, from cancer last year.
Mr Tomlinson, who was 48 and lived at Netherthong, had his own plumbing business and played football for the village team.
Mike Dove, of property agency Knight Frank in Leeds, will be the auctioneer for the day. Lots will range from small tables and ornaments to cupboards and an ornate piano.
Viewing at the firm's Miry Lane premises begins at 11am on Saturday, with the auction starting at 1pm.
Early callers will be able to enjoy a breakfast of croissants and coffee.
The day will also include children's activities, balloons, the sale of Macmillan pin badges and a bucket collection.
Money raised will go towards the work of Macmillan nurses in Kirklees and Calderdale.
