A MELTHAM woman is fighting for a seat on the Labour Party's National Executive Committee.
Louise Baldock, 38, worked as a paid party organiser in the 1997 and 2001 elections, by-elections and the Welsh Assembly referendum.
She launched her campaign as ballot papers are sent out to 250,000 party members nationwide.
Ms Baldock said: "I have learned my skills from the best in the party and I want to see them used to help Labour secure a successful third term in government."
She is also a candidate in Holme Valley South in this month's Kirklees Council elections.
Six places are up for grabs for rank-and-file members on Labour's National Executive Committee.
