THIS little cutie is Huddersfield's bonniest baby!

Eleven-month-old Annabell Crossley has been named this year's winner in our Examiner Baby of the Year competition.

Annabell won readers over with her gorgeous smile, polling 887 votes in the final which totalled 4,462 votes.

She celebrated with mum Rachel at their home in Fanny More Lane, Lowerhouses.

Proud dad David Carter also lives in Huddersfield.

Rachel was delighted with her little girl's win.

She said: "I am very pleased-all the family voted for her!

"She's brilliant, and a very good baby."

Annabell has a three-year-old sister, called Alicia, who also entered the competition.

Cheeky chappy Thai Flemming came second with 763 votes.

The 19-month-old lives in Manchester Road, Linthwaite, with mum Jodie and dad Oliver. Jodie said: "I really pleased, if a bit shocked-I didn't even think he would get into the top 20!

"I think people voted for him because he's got cute cheeks-everyone says that about him!"

Gorgeous Lilie Walsh, from Berry Brow, came third with 564 votes.

Lilie, 15 months, isthe daughter of Lisa Box and her partner Chris Walsh, of Birch Road.

Lisa said: "She's mischievous, a right little monster at times, but cute with it.

"Her sister Chloe, who's four, came runner-up in the Baby of the Year contest two eyars ago. We are really excited."

The winner receives a 20x16 inch portrait, worth nearly \'a3200, given by John Woods Photography.

The second and third placed babies get a 14x18 inch portrait worth \'a3114.

The winner and 1st runner up also get a Baby Dream Machine, made famous by BBC entrepreneurial programme Dragon's Den.
