THE M62 has been closed after a woman fell from a bridge onto the westbound carriageway.
The incident happened between junctions 26 and 27, near Gomersal at 10.17am.
The motorway was closed in both directions so the Yorkshire Air Ambulance could land.
The woman, who fell onto a lane which was already closed for roadworks, was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary with what are believed to be serious injuries.
