Three separate crashes near Huddersfield are causing delays for motorists on the M62 this evening.

The first happened at 3.35pm near Ainley Top (Junction 24) involving four vehicles.

Police and Highways closed two lanes prior to the exit slip road at junction 24.

The road has now re-opened but travel time is estimated to 20 minutes due to congestion.

Police are yet to confirm whether anyone has been injured.

Another crash was then reported  on the opposite carriageway (westbound) between Brighouse and Ainley Top.

This also involved four vehicles one of which is a tanker. This incident has also cleared.

A third crash is currently ongoing between Milnrow at J22 A672 (Rishworth Moor) and J21 A640 (Milnrow).

Lanes two and three (of three) are closed towards Manchester but are expected to open around 5.15pm.
