OVERNIGHT motorway closures are planned for the M621 into Leeds.

The Highways Agency is carrying out work to pave grass verges adjacent to and between slip roads on the M621 off the M62. It’s aimed at reducing maintenance on the verges and the need for road workers to work near fast moving traffic.

It starts on Monday, and runs until September 13. The first phase is at Junction 4 on the anti-clockwise exit and entry slip roads, and the second phase will be at Junction 3 on the anti-clockwise exit slip road into Leeds.

There will be overnight closures on these slip roads on Monday to Friday evenings between 8pm and 6am. Only one junction will be closed at a time and the work will be carried out in two phases.
