THERE’S a touch of magic in the air at Almondbury Methodist Church.
The local drama group is staging Puss ’n’ Boots by Ron Hall in association with National Operatic and Dramatic Association.
The show features Tom the magic talking cat preparing to fight the Giant Blunderbore, with help from Dora Dettol, the dotty Dame, Sebastian the rustic twit and Stephen the hero of the show.
It is the 37th consecutive production for the Almondbury Group and it is a firm favourite with the local community.
There is a mix of songs old and new, lots of laughs and slapstick and dancing from the Clare Doosey School of Dance and children from the church.
Performances take place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday this week and Thursday, Friday and Saturday, February 19 to 21.
The evening performances start at 7.15pm and Saturday matinees are 2.15pm. Tickets are £6 for adults, £3 for children and £3 for senior citizens. Ring 01484 500459.
