Another accident on the M62 this morning which has been causing major congestion in the areas between Huddersfield and Leeds.
Traffic is currently backed up from junction 27 for Gildersome back to junction 25 for Brighouse. Traffic reports say this is due to an accident between a lorry and a car near to junction 27.
Two lanes are closed which is causing major disruption during rush hour. Stay with us for updates.

Accident cleared and traffic easing
Looks like traffic is clearing....
Here’s the latest on the traffic reports:
“Traffic is easing and the accident has been cleared from the M62 eastbound between junction 26 and 27.”
One-hour delays

Two lanes closed and very slow traffic due to an accident involving a lorry and a car on the M62 Eastbound between junction 26 and junction 27. Congestion is back to junction 24 for Ainley Top. Travel time is around 60 minutes.
One lane has re-opened

All lanes are now re-open westbound and traffic clearing.
