NATURE lovers are being sought to help on a hay-cutting project at a Kirklees nature reserve.

Volunteer group Conservation Kirklees is looking for helpers to cut hay on a wildflower meadow at Lower Spen Local Nature Reserve at Ravensthorpe.

The group was set up to support Kirklees Countryside Unit and get more people involved in fun activities outdoors.

Anyone aged 16 or over can join and experience of conservation work is not necessary.

The group will work at the reserve in Ravensthorpe on August 30, from 10am to 4pm.

Anyone wanting to join on the day should meet at Burgh Mill Lane in Ravensthorpe and bring suitable outdoor clothes and footwear and a packed lunch.
