A 20-YEAR-OLD Rastrick man has been killed after his car crashed into a tree and bus stop.
He was driving his silver Vauxhall Corsa car along Woodhall Crescent, off Wakefield Road, Copley, Halifax at 2.45am on Sunday morning when the accident happened.
Traffic police from Calderdale have appealed for witnesses following the incident.
The man's parents are believed to have been abroad and are travelling home.
Meanwhile people living on Woodhall Crescent have complained about the speed of traffic in the area and are calling for traffic calming measures.
Colleen Latham, of Woodhall Crescent, who tried to resuscitate the man, said the road was used as a race track and it was the third crash on the road in several months.
Pat Bentley, who has lived in the area for over 20 years, said action had to be taken over the speed of traffic.
Anyone with information should contact PC Philip Eastwood or PC George Hale at the road traffic investigation team on 01422 337235 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
