Detectives have this evening charged a 43-year-old Dewsbury man with rape.
The suspect was arrested following the alleged attack on a 15-year-old girl between 10pm and midnight on Friday.
An area of the park was cordoned off on Saturday and a blue and white forensics tent erected at the scene as crime officers tried to piece together what happened.
Police said the man has been remanded in custody and will appear at Kirklees Magistrates' Court in Huddersfield tomorrow.
The incident is being led by Detective Chief Inspector Simon Atkinson of The Homicide and Major Enquiry Team (HMET).
