A 48-YEAR-old man was pushed into an alleyway and robbed of cash during a daylight attack in Huddersfield Market Place.

Police were alerted to the robbery which happened between the Nationwide Building Society and Barclays Bank at around 11am on January 17.

The victim was pushed into the alleyway by a man before he was joined by a woman who threatened the victim demanding money from him.

Fearing for his safety, the man handed over £60.

The suspect was then told to walk to the bottom of the alleyway while the suspects fled the scene.

The suspects were a black man in his late thirties to early forties and a white woman in her late twenties.

The man was around 5ft 8 inches tall, of medium build and with a bruise or swelling around his left eye. He was wearing a navy blue knee length trench coat, a scarf and black leather gloves.

The woman was also around 5ft '8inches tall but skinny with long, straight brown to ginger hair.
