A PEDESTRIAN died after a collision with a car.
Police confirmed today that a teenager has been arrested following the tragedy on Crossley Lane in Dalton at 12.50am this morning.
The pedestrian, a 67-year-old man from Almondbury, was in collision with a green Renault Clio car near the junction with Cold Royd Lane.
He died a short time later.
Relatives were being informed today and the man has not yet been named.
A police spokeswoman said: "We would like to speak to anyone who may have seen what happened."
The 19-year-old driver, from Kirkheaton, was arrested by police and was due to be questioned at Huddersfield police station today.

The man's Daewoo car struck a hedge on Hag Hill Lane at 2.30pm yesterday.
The 74-year-old comes from Almondbury.
