A PENSIONER suffered a head injury after he was hit by a can of beer thrown during a raid on his home.
The 89-year-old man was watching TV when the intruder entered his Highburton property and confronted him.
As the burglar ran out of the house and away down Moor Lane he threw the tin.
The elderly man was taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary suffering a minor head injury. The incident happened at around 6.30pm on November 3 at Northfield Lane but police only released details yesterday.
The suspect was a white man, wearing a grey top and faded blue jeans.
He had been seen hanging around outside the house for several minutes before the incident.
