A MAN has appeared in court accused of growing cannabis at his home.

Hamzad Latif, of Fir Road in Paddock, was before Huddersfield magistrates yesterday.

He is charged with producing the class B drug at the property.

The 30-year-old also faces allegations of possession with intent to supply and extracting electrify to grow the plant.

Magistrates were told that police found a ‘factory’ at Latif’s home with 50 cannabis plants on April 15.

Latif denies the charges.

His case was committed for trial at Bradford Crown Court.

He will appear before the court on November 22.

Latif was granted unconditional bail.
