A MAN has been remanded in custody charged with two bank robberies in Brighouse.
John Rhind, 35, of Henry Street, Brighouse, appeared before Calderdale magistrates charged with two robberies at the Bradford and Bingley bank at Commercial Street, Brighouse.
The first robbery was in April when £3,663 was stolen.
The second happened last Wednesday, when £3,610 was taken.
Rhind faced two charges of robbery and two of possessing an offensive weapon and will appear at Bradford Crown Court on September 11.
No bail application was made.
A second 35-year-old man has been charged with handling stolen goods, but has been bailed.
