A MAN has been arrested in connection with an attack in Heckmondwike in which a driver was badly hurt. The injured man had helped a cyclist, whose bike was stolen in Thomas Street, Heckmondwike, at 9.45pm last Wednesday. He picked up the cyclist in his car then confronted three men in nearby Station Lane. The 23-year-old driver from Heckmondwike suffered a fractured jaw, a broken collarbone and cuts after being hit by a stone. A 22-year-old man from Dewsbury Moor was arrested in connection with the incident yesterday. He was today in custody at Dewsbury Police Station.
