A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of rape after an incident in Huddersfield in the early hours of this morning.
At just before 1am today police were called to the McDonald's restaurant in Kirkgate, after a woman entered the building and told staff that she had been raped.
Officers attended and spoke to the 21-year old victim who said that the incident had taken place in an alleyway between the Barclay's and Nationwide banks off Market Place.
As a result of inquiries by response officers, a 32-year old man was arrested from a casino on Folly Hall at around 3am.
He is currently in custody.
Inquiries are ongoing and the victim is currently being cared for by specially trained officers.
