A man has been arrested in connection with two knife point robberies on female shopkeepers in Huddersfield.
Detectives have detained a man under the mental health act following raids in Deighton and Moldgreen.
In the most recent attack a woman was slashed on her hand as she struggled with a man at Costcutter on Leeds Road, Deighton on Tuesday.
The 31-year-old man has also been linked to another robbery at a One Stop store in Broad Lane, Moldgreen. On March 20, a man burst into the premises and, brandishing a knife, demanded cash from an assistant. He escaped with £170.
The suspect has been detained for further assessment and inquiries are ongoing.
