A MAN was badly hurt in a road accident in Huddersfield town centre.
The 33-year-old from Crosland Moor suffered serious head injuries when he was in an accident with a bus on Kirkgate close to its junction with Cross Church Street at 5.10pm yesterday.
Police sealed off the road for several hours while a full accident investigation took place.
It caused traffic problems around the town centre.
The man was taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary where he was said to be serious but stable in the intensive care unit today.
Police say his condition improved during the night.
