A MAN is critically ill in hospital after an explosion in a Huddersfield village.
The 46-year-old is believed to have been putting fuel into a lorry at Victoria Terrace in Hepworth when the blast happened at 7pm last night.
It is understood his face took the full force and he suffered severe burns.
He was taken to the specialist burns unit at Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield where he was said to be “critical but stable” today. The Health And Safety Executive has been informed.
