A MAN aged 32 has walked free from court after a jury yesterday cleared him of raping a woman at a house in Huddersfield.
Mark Zefi, of St John’s Lane, Halifax, had denied raping a woman at a house in Cowcliffe, in February 2011.
After a trial at Bradford Crown Court the jury of seven women and five men returned a not guilty verdict following about two hours of deliberation.
The Albanian, who was assisted by an interpreter during his trial, thanked the jury after the unanimous not guilty verdict was announced.
Judge Peter Benson told Mr Zefi he was free to go.
