A MAN has appeared in court accused of assaulting the mother of his two children.
Jacques Nlandul, 26, appeared was before Kirklees Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
He is accused of attacking Dina Misona at her home in Deighton on June 22.
Nlandul, of Lincoln Towers in Leeds, is alleged to have punched Miss Misona to the back of her head and headbutted her.
The attack allegedly happened while the couple’s young children were present.
Nlandul denies the charge and faces trial at the Huddersfield court on September 26.
District Judge Hopkinson granted him conditional bail until that date.
His bail conditions are that the does not contact prosecution witnesses nor go within 100 metres of Bernard Street.
