A MAN has appeared in court accused of grabbing and exposing himself to a female party-goer.
Jonathan Firth, 32, appeared before Kirklees magistrates yesterday.
He is accused of sexually touching a woman aged over 16 without her consent.
Firth faces a further charge of intentionally exposing his genitals, intending that someone would see them and be caused alarm or distress.
Marina Hunter-Grey, prosecuting, said that the incident happened at a party in Newsome on June 2.
She said: “The defendant was at a party and one of the women was grabbed from behind by him.
“When she turned around he had his penis exposed.”
Magistrates previously said that the case should be heard by Leeds Crown Court.
They adjourned Firth’s case until August 21 when a committal hearing will take place.
Firth had previously been remanded but magistrates agreed to grant conditional bail.
The conditions are residence at Botham Hall Road in Longwood and non-contact with prosecution witnesses.
He was also banned from entering the area where the alleged incident took place.
