Police are investigating after a man was found collapsed in Huddersfield town centre early today.


The man, a 24-year-old from Halifax, was found by paramedics in John William Street at about 4.30am.


He was taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary where his condition was described as "critical."


Police are trying to establish the full circumstances surrounding his collapse but there is no suggestion he had been attacked.
