A MAN was cut free from his wrecked car after a crash in Denby Dale.
He suffered neck and back injuries when his Renault 19 was in a smash with a Jeep on Wakefield Road, at its junction with Cumberworth Lane, at 10.30am yesterday.
He was assessed at the scene by a doctor and firefighters cut the roof off so he could be gently lifted free.
He was taken to Barnsley General Hospital, but was not seriously hurt.
Firefighters were called to the scene.
