A 24-YEAR-OLD Batley man has died in a road tragedy.

The man – whose identity has not yet been revealed – was driving a silver Citroen Saxo at Whitehall Road, Farnley, Leeds, which was in an accident with a bus at 6.15am on Friday. He died that night at Leeds General Infirmary.

A police spokesman said: “The Saxo, travelling north towards Leeds, overtook a silver Ford Mondeo.

“As the Saxo moved back into the correct lane the driver lost control, colliding with the central refuge which caused the vehicle to make contact with a bus travelling towards Bradford.”

The bus driver was slightly hurt.
