A BODY found in the River Colne has been named as that of 28-year-old Timothy David Greenhalgh.
The inquest into Mr Greenhalgh's death was opened at Huddersfield Coroner's Court this morning.
Mr Greenhalgh lived at Sparfield Terrace in Slaithwaite with girlfriend.
A neighbour, who did not want to be named, today spoke of the tragic death of Mr Greenhalgh so near to Christmas.
Mr Greenhalgh was described as a "helpful" and "considerate" neighbour who was always happy to help the elderly residents in his street.
On Wednesday lunchtime his body was pulled from the river, off Bridge Street, in the centre of Slaithwaite.
He had been reported missing that morning.
