A MAN was arrested by armed police after a 10-hour siege at a house in West Yorkshire.

Police were called to Shaw Leys in Yeadon, Leeds, at 1.45am yesterday after a man was seen carrying a gun. A man was later discovered in the house and initially refused to leave. Trained negotiators were brought in to speak to him. A 55-year-old man was arrested at about 11.30am and was taken for questioning at Weetwood Police Station. West Yorkshire Police said inquiries in the area were ongoing.
