POLICE in Dewsbury are still questioning a man aged 27 from the town arrested on suspicion of murdering Susan Cooper.
Her badly-decomposed body was found wrapped in bin liners and duvets next to the Calder and Hebble Navigation Canal at Thornhill Lees, Dewsbury, on Monday.
Police today released a photo of Ms Cooper, who was 30 and came from Bradford.
Her body had several unexplained injuries.
Police are investigating Ms Cooper's background and the circumstances leading to her death.
Detectives are also following up several leads in the inquiry and are speaking to a number of people who have come forward with information.
Searches and forensic examinations of the scene are also continuing.
A man walking along the canal bank with his two children, next to Mill Bank Lock, off Hall Lane, discovered the Ms Cooper's body.
Police have until 11pm tonight to question the man before they need to officially ask for additional time to hold him.
