POLICE hunting a conman who uses a young girl as a decoy have arrested a man.
The 45-year-old was detained in Barnsley at 7.15pm last night.
Police had revealed last week that the trickster had stolen cash from homes in Oakes, Cowlersley and Beaumont Park as well as the Dewsbury and Calderdale areas.
The crime spree has happened over the last two weeks or so and the man was with a girl aged between two and four in a pushchair.
The man has been brought back to Huddersfield police station for questioning.
