A MAN has been arrested by police investigating a pub shooting.

A 23-year-old Almondbury man was detained in Huddersfield late on Thursday afternoon.

He has since been held at Huddersfield police station and questioned about the shooting at the Marsh House in Marsh at 9.30pm on Sunday, September 24.

Police are still looking for other men over the shooting.

The victim was a 22-year-old soldier who serves with 2 Para.

He was shot in the pelvis and the bullet passed through him.

It went in through his lower abdomen and then out through his buttock.

Police have re-appealed for anyone who was in the Westbourne Road pub and saw what happened or has any information to contact them.
