A MAN was beaten over the head with an iron bar by robbers who dragged him from his car.
The 31-year-old was sleeping in his car at Northgate in Upper Hopton, Mirfield, at 4am today when the thieves pounced.
They smashed the driver’s window, dragged him out and demanded his wallet and mobile phone.
He was hit on the head and body with the bar and the thugs then escaped with his wallet and phone.
The victim was left with a cut forehead and bruises.
Both attackers are white men in their early 20s.
