A MAN is recovering in hospital after being subjected to a vicious knife attack at a Huddersfield flat.
The 59-year-old was discovered with multiple stab wounds at the property on Bradford Road in Fartown at about 6pm on Saturday.
He was taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary for treatment.
It is not believed the injuries are life-threatening and his condition is described as stable.
The victim has been conscious and has been talking to police, but it is thought his memory of the incident is hazy.
The attack is thought to have taken place between 9pm on Friday and 6pm on Saturday in a large Victorian building used to house a number of bedsits.
Nearby residents described seeing police in white overalls carrying out forensic examinations at the scene on Saturday evening.
Police are appealing for information about the incident.
