Man who died in Dewsbury canal named

A man who died after falling into a canal in Savile Town, Dewsbury, on Sunday has been named as 63-year-old Raymond Leslie Farrar.

Mr Farrar, who lived in Beech Street, Ravensthorpe, was found at Savile Town Wharf. There were no suspicious circumstances.

Police have today appealed for relatives to come forward.

He is known to have a sister and it is believed he may also have a brother.
