A WOMAN was robbed just yards from Huddersfield Police Station yesterday.
The 32-year-old Fixby woman was walking towards Huddersfield bus station with a friend through Buxton Way off Albion Street at about 5.10pm when a man she knew stopped her and asked for money.
When she refused the man followed her, pulled her hair and produced a bladed weapon.
He went through her pockets and stole a mobile phone.
A 41-year-old Deighton man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
