THESE three men are wanted for questioning after a teenager was pinned to the ground, assaulted and robbed in an unprovoked attack.

The 19-year-old was alone on Whitegate Road in Newsome at about 10.45pm on Saturday when four men walked towards him.

One pushed him to the ground, sat on him and took his wallet from his jeans pocket.

Another took his mobile phone from his other pocket.

The gang demanded the PIN number for his bank card and punched him three or four times in the face.

Their victim gave over the number and the robbers ran off.

They later withdrew an amount of cash from a cash machine.

Thankfully, the teenager suffered only slight injuries to his face, but this was a nasty and violent attack in which an unnecessary level of force was used.

The incident happened a matter of days after a 14-year-old was robbed of his phone on the same road, on February 22, although it is too early to say if the incidents were linked.

We are anxious to catch the men who carried out the most recent robbery and would appreciate your help in identifying the men pictured as they may be able to assist with our enquiries.

Call Kirklees CID on 01484 436685 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
