A FORMER hotel could become a private house.
Kirklees Council has been asked to back plans for the Hey Green Hotel in Marsden.
Stuart Fox wants to turn the hotel in Waters Road back into a private dwelling.
The hotel shut down earlier this year and the company running it went into administration .
The business finally shut its doors early in April .
At its peak, the hotel based in an historic 18th century house with 13 acres of private grounds employed 29 staff.
The Examiner revealed in March that the hotel had been sold for a little over £675,000, but would not continue as a business.
Permission was granted for the hotel to become a private house back in 2000 but the option was never taken up. That permission has now lapsed and a new application has been made to Kirklees Council.
